Ugh, great. That meant she'd have to go all the way back to the dorms and, well. Silly island had a habit of getting all twisty-curvy on her sometimes.

"Dai stiho," Amélie chirped at the head of the batch as she kicked the door in, followed by Annika carrying an extra coffee for Ronan and Christiana twirling the keys. Wizards they were not, but it was only polite to greet someone in their own language. "Mind ringing mère? She's not answering us."

'Little' girls, indeed. There were a few of those around already; these young ladies did not qualify. ... They probably didn't qualify as ladies, either.
It took hardly any time at all to add attitude+hair and come up with, "I'll give Emma a call, but I think she's got midterms."
