The use of the second person is an interesting narrative choice. God seems like kind of a jerk, but Kara and D'Anna both ring true, if only the show would take them in that direction. And, you bring the hotness. Kara with D'Anna is well-described, and the cutting between the action in the shower and Laura viewing it later on tape build both narrative and sexual tension. And D'Anna delivering the 'message' at the end is a great climax.

Well done.

LOL!!! yes, He's a pretty big jerk to D'Anna. elsewhere in the series he's awfully nice to Kara and Laura, who are His favorites.

thanks for your thoughtful feedback!

Wow, I was quite impressed with this. The use of the second person *is* so rarely used. Honestly, it threw me for a sec, but once I got used to it and figured out it was God, I was really intrigued.

I really liked how you communicated information in this fic with such subtlety, through inferences and things left unsaid. I mean, that it's hot sort of goes without saying, but it's certainly more too. You get across the tension that existed on the show between D'Anna and everyone else on Galactica, but certainly between D'Anna and Roslin. The sex, which in canon seems rather unlikely, somehow seems quite believable to me here. I think it's because you have the sex here be really just as much if not more be expressions/exchanges of power between these women. I love how Starbuck and Roslin both manage to retain their aura of power, even when they're succumbing to desire that makes them physically weak ( ... )

hey thanks! you've recapitulated much of my own perspective on my writing; the sex is always a medium for working through more general relationships and power dynamics. I'm so happy it seemed plausible!

and what a smart comment about the mediation on a formal level. all the stories in this series have this six-part bifurcated structure, but I hadn't thought about it in terms of montage per se. I did take special thematic glee in constructing this one!

it's really the show that put original D'Anna in this disadvantaged position, right? she's totally forgotten after Final Cut in favor of Caprica!Three -- I spent a lot of mental energy trying to fanwank what might have happened to her.

You made me claw at the mouse and close the window. I had to be a bit more careful after that.

Except that you gave me a cramp in my toes. This fic is hazardous to my health!

*whimpers* loved it.
