Hey, long time no post ^^! Well, for me anyway XD

That's because over the past week I've been busy stalking the Hetalia Hetaween event and reading a brilliant manga; After School nightmare! Anyway, I've got a lot to discuss but, it mostly relates to the Hetaween event, the recent revival of Legal Drug (it's what we've been waiting for for years LD ( Read more... )

I loved every minute of the event, too~! But because I'm also on Tumblr, I saw massive amounts of bashing and complaining, especially at the appearance of Hong Kong and Iceland on the same page AND the USUK interaction. They directed their anger at Hima himself.

Sure, he's the creator and all, but yeah...how dare he show interaction between two of his own characters, how dare heeee, rage///////

Anyway... Grandmano was grand. I loved the appearance of canon!India, too. Vietnam winning the contest was icing for me^^.

Ugh..........seriously 0.0? Some people's disgusting sense of reader entitlement is revolting T_T. It's *his* manga. He can do what *he* wants with it. I'm sorry but, to these people: *who* are you and *why* do you matter 0.0?

Sorry. Accidentally posted.

Anyway...I've seen a reasoning from one fan. They said that it's because of the fans that Hima is so successful, so he has to cater to the good of the overall fandom in return. That means: no bias interactions, no canon pairing, more appearance of characters that are supposed to be minor because for every character there is a fanbase, and make big countries canon. I've seen it. People complain that someone so "insignificant" as Latvia get canonized but Portugal doesn't. Pfffft! Oh yeah, I'm sure he just plops a design down and then calls it good. C'mon, he puts thought into characterizations for a reason.

That event was amazing~~. <3 I agree with pretty much everything that was said here, in your post and in the comments. My friend I was following the event with somewhere besides LJ and I were sad to see such wonderful costumes get replaced with the salve outfits. ^^; And he even got Prussia ( ... )

Love the Hetaween too <3. Not very fond of the slave joke either though :/. My favorite part was Turkey carrying Greece, Belgium being adorable, and France going "England! Nii-chan really flew!" (d'aww). And yes, it's cute that everyone likes Iggy <3.

About Legal drug (I refuse to call it by it's new name!)...I got mixed feelings...I still don't trust CLAMP, so I hope they won't mess up. When it comes to the art, I rather like it. It looks a bit more "clean", and the characters bodies are a bit less stiff, or that's how I see it. I do miss the more original style though, as well as the original covers. And CLAMP are not good yet at using "computer effects" in their art...

I never liked Seimei >.<.

So it's your keyboard that's broken then, not your computer 0.0?
