all the Johnny's used to call their Sempais with Kun, even with with Dai Sempais like SMAP.
NEWS or Arashi have mentioned that in MS from long time ago if I'm not mistaken ^^

so desu ne....as what joshima san and taichi san stated in their guesting at arashi ni shiyagare sometime ago, same here i feel bad when they use KUN instead of SAN or Senpai to their seniors coz there was no such thing like that during the 80`s- 90`s. senior is senior....even the senpai like tokio, smap, kinki kids,v6 didn`t the juniors notice that thoseguys use "senpai and san" to their seniors[ like matchy san and higashi san?]... ow sorry for my talkativeness hahaha...

calling the senpais with kun is like a rule in JE, i think ^^
that doesn't mean the kouhais don't respect the senpai ^^

in Kinki Kid's show where the guests were Hey Say Jump, Ryutaro was asked "what is the most surprising thing you found in JE", and he answered : "calling the senpai/everyone in JE with -kun", even when Ryutaro (12 years old), he called the other members with kun, Chinen also called Arashi's Ohno with Ohno-kun

I think that's to show their friendly-ness ^^
