Throwdown, Bury Your Dead, For Today, and a gazillion opening bands...

Dec 06, 2009 12:11

So this is the first time I've seen Bury Your Dead since March '08 - I know this because I update every time I see them. This is clearly too long, but I'm told it shouldn't be that long until they come back to Detroit. Yay!

Deathless Tour '09 - more epically long bullshit no one else cares about but makes me happy :] )

for the fallen dreams, for today, throwdown, bury your dead

Seven openers? That seems like almost too many to be fun. Or to actually fit into one night. And you'll have to remind me what a wall of death is. I'm picturing something fantastic, but I can't possibly see a crowd actually doing it, so I'm probably just making my own version up.

And if you mean they're tied for second because you've seen them 5 times, you've also seen ATL 5x. Unless you snuck off without me and saw them more :(

It was definitely too many to be fun. If I had needed to stand at a guardrail for seven openers I would have been very upset. The Wall of Death is when they have the crowd split down the middle, and push to the outsides (harder when there are large amounts of people, obviously) and then on the count of something, run towards the middle so they crash into each other and then a crazy pit opens up.

Really! Me and my poor counting, you're totally right. I think I always assume Mayday was headlining Man Whores, which makes no sense because that's totally an ATL tour title. I would never sneak off to see them without you! Or if I didn't, I clearly wouldn't remember it. :P

Thinking about it more, we've seen Every Avenue 5 times, too, haven't we?

According to my records, yes :) At least you have, I've got 6 under my belt. What's your winningest band at? (I'm just assuming it's The Audition)
