[For those who don't know him as Billy, this is made to look like it comes from a different account than Dr. Horrible's, but the connection can be traced by those with skills]

Meteor shower.  I wish I had a better telescope.  Does anyone want to go stargazing with me?  Penny?  Actually, there's something not quite right about them...guess it doesn't ( Read more... )

I've gotten absolutely nowhere at all, I'm afraid.

Regarding the meteor shower... does it imply that the City exists on a proper planet with an actual location in space, do you suppose? More importantly, is it a natural occurrence or a bad omen? Not that I believe in omens, mind you, but such a display would be in keeping with the deities' natures.

I at least haven't trashed the lab again.

I don't think it's safe to imply--be implied--no, trust implications--here but maybe? And I'm not sure I believe in natural occurrences here, after that earthquake and the hair and all probably not. But an omen?...I'd be more worried if it was a comet.

I'm sure it looked wonderful in pink sparkly... whatever-it-was.

No, you're right. The City doesn't behave like a location on an actual planet uncontrolled by bizarre forces ought to. Regardless of what the meteor shower was truly caused by or its nature, I think it's safe to say that it isn't a good thing.

What's not right about them? Oh, but if you're going to go watch them, I was headed out to do that, too. Maybe you could wish for a telescope on one of them.

Thanks for putting that out there! No name yet, but I'm totally open to suggestions. Everything I come up with is really, really cheesy.

They're just...not behaving the way I would expect? But I'm not at all an astronomer, so I don't really know. I would hesitate to make wishes here at any time when the deities or any significant occurrence seems to be encouraging that kind of behavior. But, yeah, we should meet up. Maybe we could just try the roof of the building? Or did you want to go somewhere else?

Arrival Aid? No, see, I'm too literal.

Okay, point. Skip the wishing and meet me on the roof?

The alliteration was nice!

Okay, sure. And I'll try skip wishing for you.

[ooc: Action or assume? Probably assuming is better considering my busyness + how much this is backdated, but if you want to I'm game.]

That sounds like a good cause to me. I may be willing to help with that.

Okay. Great. Whatever you wanted to do would be great. Can I have your name so I know who to contact, once we know what we're doing, which is not yet?

Sure do, bro! We met at the circus. She is one awesome woman.

The name's Devon Woodcomb, by the way. Nice to meet you.

So...you're interested in issues of social justice? Please be social justice and not Penny herself.

I'm Billy.

I was working on synthesizing Wonderflonium and something went wrong. I produced a substance that was inexplicably pink and sparkly and I've been analyzing its properties. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have any interesting properties other than being inexplicably pink and sparkly, as well as being very sticky, yet useless as an adhesive.

Want some?

Chemicals are not my department, but testing its effects on living creatures, and their behavior - it is.

Oh. I don't usually try that. In fact, I don't really try that at all. There was an...incident...with mice once.

But I do see how it's important.
