I'm not surprised. ^^horrible_pennyNovember 19 2009, 03:17:48 UTC
Yeah. It's an American thing where we get together with our families, have a giant dinner, and think about how lucky we are for the things we have. And then we eat leftover turkey until Christmas.
Ha, Thanksgiving sounds absolutely marvellous. It's really just an excuse to eat massive amounts of food, isn't it? I could even help out, if you'd like.
Oh, yes, "giving thanks." Of course I'll help. Not to boast but not only do I cook, I think I'm probably rather good at it. Just tell me what you need. Where are you thinking of holding the event?
Great--thank you! You don't need to do anything you're not totally willing to do. I don't want this to be a hassle for anyone. And I was thinking in the Welcome Center? It could be a tight fit if more than ten people show up, but it's convenient enough.
It's a big--well, not big, but a lot of people celebrate it--American holiday where everyone gets together with family and eats turkey and pumpkin pie and things like that. It's all about being grateful for what we have, even if we don't have all that much.

If that's what it takes to lure you to a Thanksgiving dinner, there'll be cornbread dressing.

I'd really like it if you did. You're City-family, you know.
