Yes, it is a fire!

No, I have not moved to Big Sur.  There are over 1,000 fires burning in California.  And one is about 3 1/2 miles from Goleta.

I hope the Goleta fire doesn't come any closer to you!!!

Some of my favorite places on earth are burning and it just breaks my heart. Will I ever see Big Sur again?

Things are fairly calm now. But the fire has a very large perimeter to defend and the winds are expected to pick up again this evening.

I know I will be all right even if the worse happens and I loose possessions.

Big Sur will recover too.
