Yeah, the scene as a whole is pretty much a hot mess, and very awkwardly directed. Plus it makes no sense in the larger context of the movie, given the way they characterized Loki. But that one little exchange...it's the stuff that dreams are made of.
Meanwhile, I'm reading this series at the moment and generally liking it so far. For once, the movieverse incest is acknowledged and dealt with, rather than waved away or outright disregarded, which is what I've been waiting for. I was on the verge of writing a slow, hesitant, supremely guilty makeout scene just so I could feel better about things, but it appears I may not need to after all...
