I just...I can't even.

What did I spend the last three hours watching?

Usually I'm good at letting things roll off, but this is beyond. I don't understand what this even was. How could a team make so many mistakes, and look so horrifically bad, when so much is at stake?

I was getting really, really angry at the Cards. Like, irrationally angry.

And then this happened. )

picspam, rl, arizona cardinals, larry, is this real life

Dude, we don't cheer for the same teams, but you should have heard me screaming last week when the Redskins had a chance to snap the Saints' undefeated streak and win back a little dignity, and the goddamn kicker MISSED the field goal in the last three minutes of the game. From, like, the 23rd yard line.

Football is bad for my health. It gives me the vapors.

Argh, I saw that and I totally was like D: on behalf of all Redskins fans everywhere. I love seeing a good upset (except when the Cards are on the wrong side of it), and that would have been the upset. The kicker got cut, didn't he? Kinda feel bad for the guy, but lord god, there's no excuse for missing that.

Sports in general are bad for one's health, I think. There's so much misery and heartache, and not nearly enough euphoria to make up for it, in my experience.

Usually I'm good at letting things roll off, but this is beyond. Are you really, B? ;)

Anyway! I watched most of the first half if it was just... Yikes. More disappointment and anxiety than I needed, so I read fic instead. At least Larry's alright. Damn.

With the Suns and Cardinals, I think I let losses roll off. Rafa still sends me into fits of anemia and diabetes every now and then.

Reading fic was the wise thing to do.

They need to play well, otherwise things could unravel :/ But this team generally does a really good job of rebounding for the next game, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I have that crazy pseudo-diabetic feeling that I usually only get following Rafa's gut-wrenching losses in majors.

urgh, yeah, i hear that. i'm glad larry's okay, although i'm sorry your team are causing you heartache. ride or die, like you say, right? :|

I honestly was worried for a while there that we'd lost Larry. His knee was twisted pretty badly when another player fell on him :/

I'll be alright. I'm quite accustomed to heartache at this point when it comes to sports! Hopefully tennis isn't quite so gruesome next season-that would be uplifting.
