Bret Michaels, unfortunately, did not lose his bandana or cowboy hat during his show. I have suspicions that they may be velcroed to his head. The show was actually more entertaining than I thought it would be, and I got to meet Big John!

ok, first off, i am so jealous, because i don't have ANYONE that would ever go see an 80's hair band with me, and damnit, that was my music, so what if i want to go see 'em now? people i know act like that's some dirty little secret i should never share. wankers.

anyway, the main reason i'm replying, though, is to pass THIS along. you need celiac recipes, right? (crap i'll feel awful if i'm remembering that part wrong, but it IS only 8 on a sunday morning.) it seems like that page has a LOT of links to web pages and blogs of gluten-free people and recipes, but yeah. GLUTEN FREE HOMEMADE OREOS. holy crap. i found it through a web page for a regular recipe for oreos, and i totally plan on trying it out sometime soon, maybe even this afternoon.

I had to drag my sister along with me because I don't really have anyone to go with, either. She's only 2 years younger than I am but even back in the day she was never into hair metal like I was, so I was surprised how much she got into it last night, and I'm so happy that she had a good time.

I stopped doing the gluten-free thing about a month or two ago because I was still feeling like crap so I determined that gluten wasn't my problem. Now I try to eat as healthy and natural as I can and take an acid-reducer twice a day and that seems to be helping a lot. But I'll still use that recipe because the ingredients are wayyyyy healthier than the crap that they put in Oreos. Thank you!

YAY!!! I told you!! the only reason I didn't stick around to catch Big John WAS all the peroxide blondes who were quite plastered by the end of the show.

That is unbelievable!!!! Big John is the man. I did see Bret w/o his hat and/or bandana on an episode of Rock of Love II, but it may have been a wig ;)
