Today was amusing. I took Macy in to be declawed this morning. She was supposed to have a combination declaw/spay at the end of the month, but she was getting insane with her claws so I moved her declaw up a few weeks. The vet wouldn't spay until she's 6 months old, which is sometime around the end of this month, so that appointment had to stay ( Read more... )

hahah! We did the same thing with Dan's kitty. We thought it was a he but then after a while there was nothing done there. haha

You'd be stunned at how common this is. I had a client recently who'd taken in a stray years ago, and I had to inform him that "she" was "he". Sad to say - boy kitties aren't exactly well endowed, and once they've been neutered, it can be tricky to tell at first glance.

My future mother-in-law's dog, Keisha...was a he/she. That's right...a hermaphrodite w/ both parts. They found out when she went to get spayed, it was all up in there. So, in that case, Bob Barker would say, have your pet spayed AND neutered...ahaha. Yah, that was lame.
