I walked by Hunan Kitchen the other day and it was CLOSED! I was HEARTBROKEN!!! It says they're supposed to re-open with new management soon. Now, are you saying you went to China Palace (on Walnut Street) or that Hunan Kitchen has re-opened with the incredibly awkward name Shadyside and China Palace?
Hunan Kitchen bought China Palace. The owner figured there was no need to have both restaurants, so they closed Hunan Kitchen. Now China Palace on Walnut Street is still China Palace, but they also have Hunan Kitchen's menu.
I've never been to either of the other Hunan Kitchens, so I can't say for sure about the menus, but I know that yes, they are owned by the same person, so I suspect it's likely. As I understand it, the only reason they closed Squirrel Hill was because it was so close to Shadyside.

Are the Hunan Kitchens in Edgewood Town Center and Murraysville also owned by the same person and do they have the same Hunan Kitchen menu?
