Two words: Veruca Salt!

They so kicked ass. All those shows I tried to get into in Chicago, I can't believe that I finally saw them in Millvale, PA. Am I a bad vegan if I eat non-vegan candy because Louise Post threw it at me? I think I probably am, and if I eat more than a tiny little bit, I'll probably get sick to boot.

speaking of par-tay, i want to send an evite to my friends (and you & rob should send it on to your friends as well). can you ask rob for the address, and specific "start time" (you'll surely talk to him before I will)
Also, I'm thinking it should be BYOB, and we'll primarily worry about providing the food. i think it might be mildly disastrous to ask people to chip in dishes for an all-vegan party.
it'll probably sound presumptuous, but i saw some website a while back that lists vegan beer & liquor, and as for the byob part, i'm thinking of putting in the evite that we'll appreciate any contributed drinks, but the site has some suggested vegan ones. thoughts?

Well, there are some obvious non-vegan drinks, like Bailey's Irish Creme and Jell-O shots. My big pet peeve is that sour mix tends to have milk in it, and I really love Midori Sours. If someone can find a sour mix without milk in it, I will be really fucking happy.

As for food ... well, I'm hoping that we know enough vegans that a pot luck is possible. Perhaps the evite/invite can say something like "Vegan pot luck, but if you're nervous about your ability to make vegan food, then alcohol is always welcome" and then include links to the stuff you've found.

And as for his address ... well, I won't post it online, but I'll email it to you. No clue on the start time yet, though I would tend to think it would be a bit earlier than average, due to the partaking of a meal-type-thing.

i'm excited :) im slightly nervous about the vegan-ness scaring away some of my friends less acquainted with vegan cooking, but i plan to make a TON of food myself, so it should work ok.
Right now, I'm thinking:
finger sammiches
garlic mango soup
my totally unauthentic chana masala
key lime *cheez*cake
birfday cake (obviously)
black beans & rice w/ plantains

more stuff too. not sure what yet

It was nice meeting you last night. They were awesome. I met Louise after the show, she was really cool. I think she was totally high though.

I see this quit smoking thing on here...you didn't look to be doing so well with that last night.

I am so freakin' jealous. unixd0rk had said if we hung around afterwards, we could probably meet them, but lilostitch seemed pretty eager to leave once the show ended. It was past her bedtime, after all.
