so wonderful! That Carol saw them first and could think about it and adapt before making her presence known. That Will and Finn have someone in their circle who knows and is sort of OK with it. Would love to see how that dinner went.

Heck, would love to see Will and Finn hot and heavy, but having to stop, because Finn's mom said "or else". :)

Haha well I had the backstory of Carol floating around my head for awhile. Then I saw this prompt and was estatic. :D

I kind of like to leave it hanging. So that way everyone can imagine the awkward conversation that will ensue.

I have a hugeeee soft spot for Carol. She's such a great mom - the whole loving-your-kids-no-matter-what kind of thing - and I think you portrayed her just right. ♥

:) I think Carol would love Finn no matter what. She seems to be that kind of mother. I have such love for her. Maybe I'll do a sequel when she talks to Burt about it?

I've been wanting to see a fic along the idea of what Finn's mom would make of a Winn relationship because it would be a really difficult situation for a parent - especially a parent who'd been alone for most of the child's life - to be in. I think you handled the issues brilliantly here; staging the fight between Carol's protective maternal instincts but overall having her more understanding instincts win out because just wanting her son to be happy.

You've also weaved a lot of back story about Carol around what small canonical evidence we have of her character incredibly well. I think my only nitpick is the name of Finn's dad. I'm not certain but I think during the argument between Finn and Carol in Home when she is addressing the urn as if it is still alive she call it Christopher. Just, y'know might be worth double checking that.

Well the picture of Finn's father alwas looked older than what I imagined his mom to be. So I figured that Carol would be understanding. I kind of want to do a sequel throwing Burt and Kurt into the mix.

I looked into your nitpick and I couldn't find anything that said one way or another
