18 month dr's appointment

Quinn had her check-up today. No shots, though, because we are going away this weekend and didn't want to have her be cranky. Below are her updated height/weight charts. She is still fairly tall (32" 70th percentile) and fairly slender (21 pounds, 11 ounces 15th percentile). Her weight was a jump up from 5th percentile at the last time. I'm ( Read more... )

Soggy diaper? You mean they weigh her with a diaper on? My pediatrician always insists on removing diaper (and everything else) for an accurate weighing.

Anyway, glad to hear all is well with Quinn :)

ours too - or if she's been peed on too much for one day weigh, remove & replace diaper... weigh diaper, subtract... and they say you dont' need math when you grow up ;-) (or was that algebra?)

Dude, our nurses can't even use the growth charts correctly. math?!?!

Yeah, they weigh her with her shirt and socks, too. I think typically it is just with the diaper, though. I don' think they care about exact numbers, just as long as nothing seems "off."

They actually have 2 scales. One is digital and the other, um, regular. The digital one is about a pound lighter than the other one. That was a HUGE difference to us when Quinn weighed 6 pounds.
