My daughter has her first fangirl crush. She is in love with the Wild Kratts (Chris and Martin Kratt are brothers and zoologists-they have an animated show on PBS). Just when I start to lose faith in humanity....

That's beautiful, hopeful. I love it that someone took the time to make your girl's wish seem to come true. But I also think that you need to take a little bit of credit, here. I'm thinking Mom's note helped remind Ms or Mr Namless that s/he is human. It's something we sometimes forget all too easily.

My girl just sorted of floated around for the rest of the day. And I did by extension.

I remember muttering 'please' under my breath when I dropped that letter in the mail. Please whoever gets this don't just drop this in the trash. Please just take a moment. Please remember what simple wonder and five year old adoration feels like. Please understand that joy is contagious. And it was. Between that package and the rain we laughed and danced and chattered away the rest of the day.

A lucky daughter to have a caring mother. This is a truly heart warming story and you can bet the nameless person on the desk felt good too.

They need a Captain Awesome coffee mug with flowers and chocolate for sure. I wish they could have seen my daughter's face when she went after that parcel. I thought my chest was going to explode with happiness. I'm relieved she didn't float away on the 'cloud nine' perch she settled onto for the rest of the day.
