Oh this was just wonderful. Thank goodness my kids never liked that Oopah-Loompa song. Continuous repetition of that would make me crazy. The thought of John driving with his head out the window makes me giggle. And carrying the boys into the motel. The visual is just perfect. Thank you.

Heeee! I love this. So very, very much. I love poor, long-suffering John, and Sam, blissfully unaware. And Dean styling Sam's hair. And them both hanging on John like little limpets. So thoroughly awesome!

This piece is so completely perfectly normal, and yet so them.

Wonderful slice of life.

The humour so funny, and still sort of bittersweet (you know they can't have had too many of these moments).

John blinks. "You're kidding me, right?" he says, beyond reprimand or argument at this stage, far into damp and cold-toed bewilderment. "What, the consistency of it not thick enough for you?"
