Yay! Honest to God, this is the first post-Serenity fic I have ever seen that deals with the immediate aftermath of the movie (ie, Simon's owies). I love it! I've always been a fan of h/c and you deal with Simon's pain well - both his and the rest of the crew, especially Kaylee.

And the Simon/Jayne scene...*melts*

I'm not generally into Jayne/Simon, but this was great. Simon existing in a fog after Serenity is entirely believable and...somehow beautiful in you words.

Oooh, I love that line. It is so crude but also shows some Jayne depth.

This is the best post-movie fic I've read yet, and I'm not just saying that. Everything hums with the ache of the past, and it's so so real.

Your Jayne/Simon is a thing of godlike amazingness, but I can't help the twinge I feel for Kaylee. I like her so much, and she just gets shafted. Oh well, she is in the fine company of the many thousands of women whose ONETRUECRUSHOMG turned out to be gay.
