Veni, Vidi, Vici

Ah, the aftermath of the Grand Trial of the Talent...

Veni, Vidi, Vici--or so I like to think.

The literature competition went relatively well, as far as that was even possible, considering how inexistent my desire to write down anything was. *rolls eyes* As if it wasn't enough I had to get up at the unholy hour of 5:50 a.m. to get ready in time to ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about your ordeal with the competition. At least it's over for now right? Ugh 5:50 a.m. s when you should be sleeping. I'd never wake up that early by choice. But this comment I did not find your joke very funny, Universe, so I'd appreciate it if you keep it to yourself next time, huh? lmaorofl I love you for that awesome joke XD

Seems to me that your day was slow...... er, that sounds like an understatement really. But congrats on not beating yourself up about how you did in the competition. You did your best & your friends are proud of you <3 ( ... )

Well, yep, it was kinda pointless beating myself up over what has happened since I did try to do a better job with my essay but nothing sprung to mind and after that it was pointless to linger. xD Getting up early isn't among my good qualities and I'd rather headwall before having to do it on a day off from school, but I was intrigued enough in this competition to subject myself to the torture of getting up at an ungodly hour. xD Lol, glad to hear I still have the "funny" in me even though I feel like such a dork. :33

Tee hee, glad you like the icon. This is the second one--I am very, very smitten with this pic and its original, especially; they rule!--and I've already used the third one on your journal somewhere, in a reply; I'm very pleased with them, especially because all three of them are s colourful, contrary to all my others. xD And. please, do not hesitate to go ahead and inform me of awesome icon places--collecting icons is a secret though not so much anymore now that I've told you, is it? xD obsession of mine, so please go ( ... )

Don't worry, I'm not fond of waking up early either. Even on school days I sleep in to the very last minute & barely make it school on time. lol I do cherish my sleep. Go ahead & be a dork though. Dorks pwn! XD

All GrimmHime fanart is beautiful & I'm very happy to see that there's no shortage. GrimmHime does seem to be a popular pairing nowadays. Hopefully this somehow reaches Kubo himself & it becomes canon due to rabid GrimmHime fangirls threatening atrocious things if he does otherwise popularity! Okay the best place for icons has to be bleach_icons! Lots of icons are uploaded daily & there are other animes included in some of the posts. Everytime I see a Grimmjow icon I think hey-...... wait. In all this time we've spoke we never even exchanged pleasantries lol Silly me! My name is Nancy in case you didn't know already. I don't know if you told me yours already, so sorry if you have to repeat it but what is your name ( ... )

Yup, waking up early isn't my cup of tea, definitely. I'm much more of a night owl for sure. I'd prefer staying up all night any day to getting up early for whatever (unless it's impossible for that thing to happen this way). There is nothing, absolutely nothing to me, as precious as my sleep, among my bodily needs. xD And dorks like us are definitely instant win, yes. *nods*

I am most heartened by the fact the GrimmHime fanclub in general is so large within the Bleach fandom. I hadn't hoped, in my wildest dreams when taking up this pairing, that it would be so popular--this fact can only overjoy me, of course. :D That way we have lots of material to draw inspiration from. And, as you said, we can hope that some of our blackmail and threats over mail hopes will reach Kubo Tite and he'll decide once and for all whom he'll give Orihime. xD ( ... )

*sigh* you know, my university course has actually been dampening my will to write a lot because they make it out to be such a serious and long-winded thing! There was a period last year where I just didn't write at all because I was depressed over my classes and thought I was awful at writing (I went through a similar phase with art when they booted me out of art at college ( ... )

Oh, yes, having people breathing down your neck and telling you "This should be this way and not that" can definitely do huge and largely negative wonders for one's self-esteem. I should hope you got over both those depressions, right? >Heheh, thank you--I did as best I could on the competition but it wasn't all that much important in the first place so nothing fatal happened. xD ( ... )

I always used to be convinced that my writing was fine as it is - but these days I know I personally need other people's input because what I think is normal isn't what other people think of as normal! And characerisation is something I do have problems with - only Grimmjow comes naturally to me because his personality is a lot like my brother's.

But yeah - if you need any help, let me know XD

I think you shouldn't doubt yourself. You're definitely one of the most awesome authors I've come across and you keep everyone in character whenever you take up any Bleach character to show the story of. I think your self-doubt is completely unfounded. You should believe more in yourself. ^_^

And you're most definitely awesome at keeping Grimm in character. I'd definitely turn to you when I need someone to help me. :3

Bwuh, 5:50 am? *way too early* Sorry your competition didn't go as great as you'd hoped -- time delays and 'meh' topics get to me too. Although it's great you did your best; I'm sure you did very well!

And don't you love it when you have a new batch of icons to show off? ;) I do!

And YAY for GrimmHime story plot. I'm sure he'll be fine; as far as I've seen of your writing so far, you've done an excellent job of keeping him in character. Now the only thing I'm super curious about is your 'serious/crack/total goof-off plot'. XD Guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Yup, way too early--I'm wondering how these people think we're capable of thought process that early in the morning. =_=;; But we'll see how much I sucked when the results come out--I tend to be too hard on myself sometimes though I deeply doubt this is one of those times; my gut feeling just tells me I messed up a lot xD

Oh, I adore having new icons to show off! xD It's such a joy, especially when they're so pretty like my new ones are. xD They bring the color and thus life to me LJ now. xD

Yay for GrimmHime in general, I'd say, lol. And, yeah, I'm glad I captured your attention with that exact thing. xD No one else seems to have paid it much heed and you, as the only one who did, are the only one ready for the imbecility. :D

It sounds like you had some bad luck that day... You receive bonus points if you had to wait for the bus in a cold weather. Also, I too hate when the teachers/profesors/examinors are late... Last time I had to wait for 1 hour in my written exam to receive my papers and start writing. Makes me mad that I couldn't sleep one hour more. But in the given time you could do a short revision in your mind, if you feel awake enough. Well, I hope you'll proceed to the next level of the competition, given the talent for writing that you have... Hopefully they won't choose shitty topics only.

It was relatively cold, yes, but I was fine, because I had dressed properly. :D But the fact they were late really irritated the daylights out of me... I'm not one much for last minute revisions, especially that early in the morning.

And, besides, there's no next level for Eleventh Grade people on this literature Olympiad (only Seniors have a third level *rolls eyes*) so, yeah, it wasn't all that important anyway. xD

Was it always like that? I kinda thought there were 3 levels for all olympiads... But I never went for literature, so I can't say. It sucks though, not giving you any chance >_>. Is there any reward at least? (<==used to go for the rewards only).

I think it was, indeed, always like that. Which is the saddest thing of all. >< And I usually go to these things for the sake of rewards as well, but this time I just felt like going and when I did go, it felt like it wasn't worth the trouble at all. >< Oh, well, we'll see whether I'll get a good grade on this despite my displeasure with what I wrote and maybe if I score an A my literature teacher will input a matching grade for me in her subject too? xD
