After watching the second episode of the new season of Merlin (which is GOOD so far), I couldn't help but write this.  The scene before this was heart wrenching and yet so well acted by Angel Coulby and Bradley James as well as the rest of the cast.  There really does not need to be a tack on fic like this because there touches and looks said

It's obvious Gwen loves Arthur! Not Lancelot like everyone thinks! ARWEN foreverrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She grieved because she felt guilty for sending Lancelot to his death even it was for protecting Arthur, the man she truly loves. Why can't people see that?

Thank you. That is what I got from the scene. I think Gwen does/did care for Lancelot a lot and even at one time loved him. But she's in love with Arthur. However, she never wanted to send Lancelot to his death, despite the fact that it saved Arthur. She is human and she grieved as one does who's lost a dear one and friend. But the man she loves is Arthur. At least, that's what I see in the show.
