You could probably use Vistaprint or a similar site for the invitations - Vistaprint lets you upload your own images, and there are tons of promo codes you can find to take a chunk off the price. (Also this may seem obvious, but you should order enough for the total number of households you are inviting, not the total number of guests.)

It's draining my life-essence! I need for it to be over soon!

that is pretty much how we feel. :( i think weddings are fun once they actually happen but the planning process sucks unless you are the kind of person who really enjoys event planning/being a dictator.

i'm going to williamsburg today with a list of shops to try - i never go there so i'm hoping something pops up. but i will probably just come home with something useless like vivienne westwood tights instead.

the katrantzou dress is OTT! i need an event to wear it to!

what is your new job? library stuff? glad to hear you're doing well. let me know if you come back to nyc!

i never have any luck in brick&mortar vintage shops it seems (though it's been a while since i went to one, i haven't even been in buffex in like 9 months!) & have been having weird luck at pay-by-lb thrift lately (vintage 1940s handmade sheer black cotton dress = best find in a while!) which lets me justify spending $$ online (thinking about getting this risto moon print dress, it's th last one & it's my size: https://www.shopfatal.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=2947&idcategory=0 ) but i saw that katrantzou dress on ebay for 600+ bones & it made me ;___;

it's just a temp. gig doing document prep work/scanning/imaging. tedious but regular hours & not too much hassle, still trying to find a decent long-term thing.

lex & i are hoping to do some traveling this summer & fall, hopefully a weekend nyc trip will be part of that (also vegas & most likely somewhere in asia, thailand or malaysia maybe!)

i have luck sometimes but i have accepted that these days "cheap vintage" means it costs the same as a regular item at a department store. i find good stuff at the salvation army and such but it's not like actual old vintage clothing, it's nice stuff from the 90s or such.

today i found a furry cat head bag and a shirt with old paintings in frames on the front, but no dress. :( also i spent too long in williamsburg and then i wanted to die.

i have the risto moon trench coat! it's a gorgeous print, do it!

Kat Bridges did my invitations, and they were awesome. Not sure if you want hand printing though.

oh, we did think of her but i'm not sure we can afford it for 120 people. also we have this illustration we need to put on the front so that kind of limits our design.
