It's th one w/ just Joshua and Katee. The scene from th movie is even better though, so search for "Om Shanti Om" / "Dhoom Taana."

Th only problem I have w/ SYTYCD is how terrible most of the dancers taste in music is. I mean, how many times can you emote to some shitty contemp. xtian singer/songwriter?

oh god, what is with all the celine dion? i actually think i mostly like the courtney/mark jazz dance because the music is pretty good for once, and does not involve some bombastic adult contemporary with strings and yodeling.

yeah, mark got voted off which wasn't such a surprise, but i do think it was weird chelsie got voted off, she's way better than courtney.

yeah, gev was an amazing dancer but you don't really get to show off your upper body strength in pairs dancing.

I love this show and somehow it never occured to me to find the clips on youtube! I like Joshua a lot, I've been voting for him every week for the last month or so! I hated Katee at first for some reason but I've come around. I kind of think she's gonna win. I liked Chelsie in the routines but I didn't like her solos. I think it's because she kind of reminds me of JonBenet Ramsey! There's something weird about the way she looks. I never liked Mark. Also, I know Mia Michaels is this amazing choreographer or whatever, but I HATE her dances! I guess I'm not much of a contemporary fan in general, but I especially didn't like most of the stuff she's done on the show. No one I know watches this show, I always try to talk about it with Jon (my manfriend) but he doesn't care or know what I'm talking about.

youtube is the perfect place for a show like this, where there's a lot of seasons but they never release them on dvd!

either katee or joshua will win. i think joshua is the fan favorite, but who knows.

ha, chelsie's ballroom dancing looks really weird when she does it by herself. but, i kind of think it's unfair to make them choreograph their own solos? some of them end up looking better just because they know how to choreograph and not just make something that's a jerky series of "moves."

oh, i HATE mia michaels and her choreography! i don't understand what contemporary means. tiffany says it is the same as adult contemporary music, only for dancing? eh.

i have the opposite problem, everyone i know watches it and i never watched it until this season!

No, it's not. Contemp. dance is like a less-structured modern dance, which is what modern dance was supposed to be to begin with. (There's a good explanation of this of one of the TWoP threads.)

I'm sad Mark is gone, too. I actually think he was the best dancer on the show, since he was the most versatile between the styles and was able to make difficult combinations of moves look effortless. I think that was some of his problem, really - his solos looked too easy in comparison with the others, despite it being quite difficult to choreograph movements that work every nuance of the music.

ah, good to know. i fear the choreographer is giving us the wrong idea with the neverending celine dion songs.

mark was a great dance partner, from what i saw. i think it was definitely his solos that brought him down.

katee is a good dancer but i really don't like her. ever since vegas where she said she wouldn't try out next year if she didn't make it ughhhhh so lame.

mark was gooood and i really liked the first chelsea that got kicked out.

i just find courtney too perky and she dances like a cheerleader, all the time. katee and chelsie were the only girls i liked.
