Finished the first draft of A Most Malicious Murder at a rather slender 70K, but that's okay -- I tend to write mainly dialogue through the first pass anyway, and leave the fleshing out of the scenes for the second draft. I figure I'll leave it to simmer this week while I devour more research materials, then start editing over the long weekend

My first drafts are usually light on word count as well. I hit 75K for what will be a finished count of approx. 90-95K.
