This is so awesome, but so sad, too -- I know John's technically being supportive, but he's also sending his kid a really fucked-up message, that he doesn't need to be able to do anything but hunt -- that his words aren't important. Love this!

Thanks for reviewing! Yes, John's message is definitely screwed up. I mean, he's trying to be supportive in the only way that he knows how to be; he's not intentionally trying to say to Dean that his ideas and thoughts and all of that are worthless -- but that is kind of the message that he's sending. (Not that Dean is consciously acknowledging it, though; poor kid is just too focused on the fact that his Dad is there for him at all.)
