Wonderful and heartbreaking. I was reading it in the hospital where I go for treatment for something not that dissimilar, and although Dean's situation is different than mine, I found myself identifying so much. You did a great job describing the struggle between wanting to just give up, because the pain is so exhausting it drains your life of meaning, and that vital spark that keeps wanting to go on. Dean is so heartbreaking in this and I feel for both him and Sam.
Thank you for a great fic. It really touched me.
