I think Sam/Dean would work for this one but gen is awesome too of course.
Dean either hurt his leg permanently (whatttt? don't look at me like that), or he gets seizures, or he's had one too many concussions and his balance is all fucked. Take your pick.
Anyway, Sam gets really nervous whenever he's in the shower, like, he's scared Dean's gonna fall and knock himself out and drown. So he instates a rule that whenever Dean's in the shower, he has to SINGGGG like a little birdie so Sam can hear him from the next room and be sure he's still upright.
Turns out, Dean's a really good singer, when he's not hamming it up with the car radio. Sam finds that he loves to listen to his brother sing. So all stealthy-like he tries to get Dean to take MORE and MORE showers, by trying to get him as dirty as possible all the time. LOLOLOL.
Orrrrr, if you wanted to go the angsty route, you could do the one time Dean stopped singing in the shower. 'Cause he fell down or whatever. And Sam freaked RIGHT OUT.

Sometimes, Sam swears that the Impala can sense Dean's mood and takes it on for herself. She seems just as annoyed, meandering her way through the snow, sliding all over the place. Maybe she needs new tires; traction must be wearing off. Just in case -
"Look, you little shit, we're both in this car, so unless you want Dean to die right with me you better cut it the fuck out now."
"Don't talk to my baby that way," Dean mumbles automatically, shifting in his seat. Sam isn't even sure he's awake.
Sam grits his teeth and pats the steering wheel in apology; the Impala's engine shudders, sputters - before smoothing out, and she doesn't waver for the rest of the ride home.
"God fucking damn it," Sam says under his breath.
Dean makes a soft sound, one that only Sam could correctly interpret as a groan.
"You awake?" Sam asks. "Want a pill?"
"No," Dean grunts, shifting again so that his head is more comfortable against the window. "'S all good."

Sam does his best not to hover, but he keeps a hand on Dean's lower back as Dean swings himself to their room. It seems even lonelier than usual, walls blank, nondescript sheets. Sam catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror; he raises a hand and feels the beginning of a beard growing on his face. Huh. He's forgotten to shave

Dean's first shower consists of him screeching so loudly that Sam winces and expects an angry knock on the door. True to his word, he only stays in for ten minutes, although it takes thirty for him to get out and dressed. When Dean's finished, Sam pretends that he wasn't lingering by the door.

Dean's next performance involves singing Coldplay horribly off-key. Sam doesn't want to ask how he knows the lyrics.
He also does his best to ignore the breaks in song when Dean hitches his breath in pain.
::
For the fifth shower, Dean sings more quietly: Sam has no choice, he has to sit right by the door. Yes. That's why.
This time Dean's voice softer, a shade that Sam has never heard before; Pearl Jam's words slip off Dean's tongue with ease, with care. Sam rests his head against the door, turns his ear to hear better.
" - How quick the sun can drop away -" a sharp intake of breath, a pause. Sam freezes, then starts to get up - his hand's on the knob when he hears Dean mutter under his breath, steady streams of self-deprecation, come

It turns out to be Pink Floyd, and Sam smiles, settles in: crosses his feet at the ankles. Dean hums the instrumentals, and Sam rests his hands in his lap; he could fall asleep to Dean's voice

I adore you way you wrote Sam and Dean's relationship. I think this prompt could have been written schmoopily (which is good too!) but I love how this wasn't. It's painful and honest. And ultimately hopeful - because they looove each other. AWESOME.
I tried to make the end schmoopy-ish, because that seems to be more what the prompt wanted, but I don't think it made it there /o\ I'm so happy it worked for you, though :D Thank you so much!
Sam settling down to listen by the door with his hands in his lap, and the car mirroring Dean's emotions, and Sam tracing his scars, and Dean's hot body while he sleeps. Gahhh.
Sam has a singing!Dean!kink =D Love it. "Black" is one of my favorite songs and I had to listen to it while reading. Imagining it with Dean's voice is ♥_♥
I have a thing for scars, too, because they are nothing to be ashamed about, and I'm glad Sam tried to get that message across.
AAAAH! I love it! Poor Dean, falling in the shower, but awwwwwwwwww Sam just gets right in there with him and CUDDLES HIM BETTER. ♥ Thank you soooo much for filling this!
