It works for reasons beyond my comprehension. Or maybe well within my comprehension but I don't want to think that my mind does these things.

But really... pro-death penalty, strict and stubborn black-and-white moral code, religious fanaticism (well, putting himself as the religion, that counts right? yeah) good old fashioned sexism... just add gluttony and loudness, and if you ask me, you've got yourself someone quite befitting of the stereotype.
