I can't help wishing they could have used the actors who were in the 10th Anniversary concert -- such glorious voices, my favorite being Lea Salonga -- but I'm sure this is going to be every bit as fantastic in its own way, and I'm looking forward to it.

It's a real quandary, all right. I think I'll probably see the Hobbit movie first, since I love being in a theater packed full of genre freaks on opening weekend. There's just nothing like it.
If the film had been made ten or fifteen years ago, I agree that the TAC should have been used, but they're all too old for the parts, now. I do love that Colm Wilkinson is playing the Bishop. It's such a lovely way to pass the mantle. I teared up a little when I read that.

Every time I think I'm over this musical, I get pulled right back in. Honestly, Anne Hathaway has blown me away with her rendition. Just hearing it in this trailer brought me to tears.
