Over in the men's 200m freestyle semifinals, a surprise. Diode Gren of District 3 has successfully pleaded to the judges that he was unable to finish his heat because he inhaled a spangle that had come loose from Carbuncle Williams of District 1's bathing suit, and he has been given a pass to the finals.

BTW, have you seen the castings for Brutus and Enobaria? The guy is pretty close to my mental image, but Enobaria isn't. For some reason, I pictured her as having extremely short, almost buzzed hair, and I picture all of District 2 as having something of an Aryan look.
(ALLOW ME TO JUST HAVE A SAD THAT NO 1 CURR ABOUT THE D2/1 CASTINGS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS FINNICK RIGHT NOW. :()
I actually love both of them! I didn't really see Enobaria as white, so that pleases me, and although my friend thinks Brutus is too pretty I quickly reminded her that all the Careers should be, minimum, interesting-looking. At least hair is pretty easy to change if the mood strikes them? My main concern about the Career women is that they can send the actors to bootcamp or something so they physically look the part. I'll just be over here never getting over the fact that Dara Torres isn't really going to be Lyme. (Long discussion about how it's acceptable for men to get crazy bulked up and cut for roles but not women goes here.)
Yeah, the brats over at ONTD (I'm so hooked on that trash, it isn't funny) were all, "LOL I dunn no who dey are!" And then, when some of them did know, they griped about Enobaria "the villain" being a POC. Next day, we get Brutus, and they griped about "more white people"! I cannot even with this.
Which doesn't mean I'll stop reading it.
Anyway, I'm paying attention, primarily because I love your Brutus in all his killjoy-y glory.
