O hai, Jabe. XD

Sorry I haven't been commenting (super busy) but I'm loving all of this story so far! (I also dreamed about Hunger Games last night, oddly enough. XD )

A tree is a mentor for a district of woodcutters???

;) Nono, I get she's not a tree now.

I love that our girls found each other. I hate that they already have to think about separating. I hope the Doctor's plan is a good one--but then, they usually are, if a bit mad... *g*

Hee! Yeah, I couldn't resist that.

Martha's practical as brass tacks, so that would be something she'd think of right away. The cruelty of the Games is that there's no way they can't.

The Doctor is plotting. Oh, yes, he is.

Oh, the Doctor is plotting. ;D

I think that Rose and Martha would have been great friends, if they weren't both in love with the Doctor. I've always felt like Martha's character was BAMF, but her crush on the Doctor turned me off for a long time.

Yeah, I think that was an unfortunate choice on Rusty's part. It just didn't bring out the best in Martha or in Freema. I enjoyed her appearances on TW and in S4 much more, when she had a direction of her own. Fortunately, I can take 15-year-old Martha here in any direction I want, so now, she and Rose are buddies. Yay!

Yay, Martha! Your method of bringing them together was great, making it very believable that they'd ally even in an environment full of distrust. Rose can't resist protecting someone weaker from a bully, and Martha isn't going to let a wound go untreated, especially not on the person who saved her life.

JAAAAAAAAAAAABE!

Exactly. It sets up their strengths right away and why they'll be stronger together. Once the idea presented itself, it was like, "Well, duh!"

Why, hello- I'm back from Florida, so you get me reviewing every chapter from here on out all at once! Yay! :D

And I'm really, really glad Rose and Martha finally found each other. Martha is young enough to bring out Rose's nurturing side, yet independent enough to be an equal. Rose is out of her element, so Martha's caring and take-charge attitude is utilized, but Rose is also a kind soul where she can feel safe for a moment. I love these two's dynamics already!

And the Doctor plotting- scary business, that. Well. Scary for the other teams...
