Your mini-fic with Jack and John wins every cookie on earth! <3
So, um, universe goes 'splody? But time can be rewritten, and the Doctor was just put in a box with time locks on it. Maybe the Daleks etc. did the right thing without knowing it.
Ooh, I hadn't looked at it from that angle! Fascinating.
but no one says who's controlling the TARDIS or where the creepy voice is coming from. Why is the TARDIS exploding?
The voice sounded kinda like Davros to me, but I'm not 100% certain, and even that doesn't answer how he is controlling the TARDIS or why it's exploding.
The return of Rory made me SO HAPPY, but then he's a bloody Auton! >:( I was wondering if the Moff was really going to leave the explanation of his presence in the Roman army as "the universe is weird like that," but of course there was an answer and it was bad news.
but of course there was an answer and it was bad news.
But really, it could be good news. Because if an Auton is a copy of someone, it may mean the person they're modeled on is still alive, to make the copy realistic . . .
Why are there Cybus Cybermen here now? Kinda puzzling.
I've heard that it's because after the redesign of the Daleks, they couldn't get the budget to redesign the Cybermen as well. It would make more sense for it to be redesigned OldSchool!Cybermen, since they're apparently a spacefaring power...
Still, it could potentially be explained by the idea that the cracks are destroying all universes, and the Daleks would possibly have the ability to get them from wherever.
If the Daleks and Cybermen can cooperate even to this extent they have changed a LOT over a relatively short time - I think that another force is at work, and that force is Amy.
AWESOME. I'd started having mixed feelings about this season, but...WOW. I am so back in the game, and agree wholeheartedly about the Rory/Amy reunion.
I loved the ep, too. And I have complete faith that either the Doctor will fix this, or it wasn't real to begin with. I'm just not sure how skipping backwards through the timelines will accomplish that, since everywhen is exploding. But I'm not a genius, so I'll let him figure it out.
