That's a wonderful little Mal-ism at the end of the chapter. This commmentary continues to be an interesting look into your writing process and a great excuse to reread the story.
Think Holland Manners or Jack Bristow--an older man with a lot of presence, who can't necessarily be trusted, in spite of outward appearances *is now imagining Jack Bristow in some sort of warped Alias/Firefly crossover* God, wouldn't that be a sight? *giggles more*
Though, actually, I'd always imagined Hendricks as more of an Arvin Sloane type -- very charismatic, very civilized if he wants to be, but containing a subtle undercurrent of selfish, usually malicious, intent.
Am still loving the commentary, though I've been lurking around rather than posting feedback. I do love getting insights on the stories/writing processes on other authors, though. :)
