Am I the only one who feels like taking a shower after every commercial for Hostel: Part II? Eli Roth, I'll grant you, is a very well-spoken man and probably isn't a sociopath. However, I'd respect him a lot more if he embraced the "torture porn" label and didn't try to defend his films on their supposed artistic merits. 'Cause let's face it--

I somewhat enjoyed his first movie, Cabin Fever. Pretty standard horror stuff. I used it to get into the right mindset for finals one semester. ;) I have had zero desire to see Hostel, or Hostel II.

Actually, I heard that Hostel II is equal-opportunity, complete with male full-frontal nudity and torturing of both sexes! :-D I guess it was Hostel 1 that was more let'skillthegirls.

When I was going to Vancouver last year (staying two nights at a hostel) my friends made me watch the first one. I have no desire to sit through a similar experience. Ever.
