...How did you get such a bruise, Kyle? Were you in some sort of spar, perhaps? It does sound like you hurt yourself very, very badly. I would agree in speaking to my brother about this.
No, I was not in any sort of spar at all, Lady Eirika. I was seeing a patient and he just... out of nowhere, gave me a good one on my cheek. And in truth, he packed quite a punch.
Luckily for you, the bruise is on your face, so it'll heal quicker. (Well, not really lucky, but say.. luckier than if you had been hit in the leg.) But it should go away in a few days, but tips to make it heal faster would be eating stuff with vitamin C, and for the first day just apply ice packs on and off for a while. After the first day, apply heat (like a towel wet with hot water.) It should fade pretty quick.
I'll try to keep that in mind. I've applied ice to it all day and I have a pack of ice sitting here close to my... what is this... monitor? Yes.
I'd make me feel better if I get my face checked by a doctor, though. I've never received a hard blow such as this. I would think that being hit by a sword, a lance, or an axe would hurt, but this is incomparable.
I was at my job, Forde. Seeing patients with problems as usual. Then, I get this patient... Who, out of nowhere, gives me a good one right on my face...

I have a few healing staves here with me, Sir Kyle -- so if you are in need of it, I could help ease the pain a little~
