May I tell you how much I love this already? I just absolutely adore AnaMaria and wish there were more stories where she was featured. So lovely to have a new one to look forward to.
Thank you so much for commenting. I love Anamaria, too. She's rapidly becoming a favourite part of every story I write. I hope this one won't take 20 years to finish.
WHOOHOO!! So damnfantastic to see another PotC story with Jack and Anamaria back at it. Loved this chapter and I sure can't wait for more. I couldn't stomach the 2nd and 3rd movies - kinda gelded Will, and while he's not my favorite, he's part of everything I loved about PotC. And Elizabeth's character.. ugh.. they practically turned her into the DUDE!
Anywho, I digress...
Man, I've missed Jack and Ana's interactions and I'm so glad your muse has found them and reunited them for another rousing, swash-buckling tale! Post more soon! PLEASE!!!! Like throwing my a life raft in a choppy sea.
Thanks for the enthusiastic welcome back. I miss Anamaria as a major character in stories now, too, so it's fun to write her and that lovely snarky non-relationship she has with Jack in my universe. My life is insane, so posts will probably be few and far between, but I got the urge to start, anyway.
YAY! New Honorat story! **pulls up pirate socks and dances** (And I really am wearing pirate socks.)
Double YAY! It's Jack and Ana! **jumps on table to dance some more**
One peacefully somnolent sot lay where he had fallen, his stentorian snores stirring patterns in the packed dirt. This is like an alliteration orgasm. It's the best sentence I've read all month. :)
"Three-toed Jimmy" cracks me right up. Some nicknames are instant classics.
I also love your setting description of this place. It's such a hole, but it's a *fascinating* hole. The goat is a particularly nice touch. (I just hope Jack hasn't been cuddling with this one.)
Nevertheless, she had not become the keeper of the most profitable tavern by the docks by asking awkward questions of her often-questionable patrons. And this is my next favorite sentence.
“I’m looking for a man-or what’s left of him

YAY! A Virgo Comment. Consider my day made in spades.
**pulls up pirate socks and dances** < **tries to picture this** You know, the problem with LJ is that everyone is faceless. Now you know what I look like **points to icon**. And Ladymouse is a mouse. And Hendercats is a cat. So what kind of animal are you? If that’s not too personal a question. On second thought, perhaps you are a goddess. **considers how to draw a portrait of Virgo** (goddess in pirate socks-Hmmmmm)
i> (And I really am wearing pirate socks.) **is jealous**
Double YAY! It's Jack and Ana! They are my favourite non-pairing to write.
**jumps on table to dance some more** **Sits back, pulls out a collection of 5 dollar bills and prepares to enjoy the show!**
This is like an alliteration orgasm. It's the best sentence I've read all month. :) I guess I really do alliterate a lot. I don’t even notice it until someone points it out. **stares** That there is a lot of alliteration, for sure. **gives the sentence a trophy for its collection**
ANAMARIA!!! The hero of my dreams! I almost wet my pants... You described her so sexy... o.O And then throwing in Jack in the mix to, that didn't help! The problems of having a thing for both men and women... Damn, I like this!
I'm glad you liked Anamaria in this. I guess I did write her as rather dangerous and attractive, didn't I. She and Jack certainly are pretty together. Thank you so much for commenting.
