We were talking about the apocalypse in English class yesterday, since we're gonna start reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. She gave us some freewrites to do with stuff like, what is the apocalypse to you, apocalypse in popular culture, why is it appealing, would you want to live to see it and what would your strengths and weaknesses be etc ( Read more... )

Man, I love Apocalypse-related stuff. Fic, movies, books, whatever. I think it's such a rich ground for exploration - and I guess you're right: that is sort of ironic. But, I mean, I've written quite a bit of Apocalypse stuff myself.

FFF, also - I love that all of my friends in high school brought up the topic of conversation "Who would you want to have with you in the Apocalypse?", and the all, like...looked at me at once. It was sort of hysterical - mostly because I don't really know how useful I'd be after the Apocalypse.

Totally edited the post with epic shirts.

I spoke up a lot in class today mostly because the subject is actually interesting and open, rather than analyzing an essay and all that. 8D; IT IS IRONIC~ Hehehe.

WE CAN FORM A TEAM IN THE POST-APOCALYPTIC WORLD! LET'S DO IT OMG OMG OMG IT'D BE SO FUN.

I mean.

Helpful.

THOSE SHIRTS ARE EPIC, INDEED.

Yeah, it's always easier to talk when you actually...care about what's being discussed, lol. It's why I talked so much in my feminism-type class in high school.

I AM ALL FOR TEAMING UP AFTER THE APOCALYPSE.
