I am doing much better since my last post. Apparently, the small cold I had was Covid and was pretty miserable most of the weekend. To cope I ended up bingeing a couple of seasons of Columbo. I ended up really liking the show. Up until that weekend I think I had only watch one or two of the tv movies. I liked how calm Peter Falk plays the rumbled

My sister has the entire Columboseries. She finds it very soothing, too. They're mysteries, which she likes, but calm ones, which shouldn't make sense but somehow does.

Sorry Finder turned out to be a dud. I'm always looking for good, hard science fiction books. They're tough to find. But at least there was Pork Pie Pandemonium. Can't go wrong with a dog tagging along. :-)

I was bummed that Finder wasn't better because it is a whole series. Oh well, the search continues for a good hard sci-fi book.

So glad you're feeling better! I love Columbo, it was one of my grandmother's favorites, so we watched it together a lot.

Congrats to the kiddo, too!

I enjoyed the first In Death book, but I can see how you could have mixed feelings. There's so much to absorb and get used to in the world it's set in. Not to mention the often contentious relationship between Eve and the dude (I can't remember his name oops).

I think my main problem with the first book was I didn't really like Liam. I found him too Alpha. In the second book, he wasn't as bad.

Ah, yeah, I can understand that! He does soften up towards the end of the first book, if I remember correctly, so glad to hear he's better overall in book 2.

as for Eve Dallas, those books are so inconsistent, some are good and some are just wow bad

An inconsistent series can be a bummer for sure.
