Chapter One “I’ve been having dreams,” Siwon explained, and everyone’s eyes widened. Dreams meant a thousand-and-one things. They could be just normal dreams, like mortals had, but for demi-gods, many of the time it was retelling of myths, or of parts of your life that you hated the most, or it was the future-Eunhyuk had been known to have serious case of deja-vu, and sometimes, he was even able to help the otter demi-gods find new half-bloods by dreams that he had had the night before.
Siwon swallowed, knowing that all twenty-four eyes were stuck on him right now. Being a son of Nike meant that you didn’t have much power, didn’t have that much responsibility. In truth, he only really helped Heechul, Hankyung and Jaejoong when it came to working and finding new demi-gods once and awhile. The fact that you always won at everything would help if you were in battle, but, that had never been a problem-until now.
“My mother has been coming to my dreams,” he admitted. Gasps resounded throughout the mansion. Only Eeteuk and Junsu really saw their parents on a day-to-day basis, because Hermes was friendlier with his children than the rest of them. Yesung had supposedly seen his father once or twice, and Jaejoong had lived with his mother until he was five, when she left, but other than that-family bonds weren’t that common. “She has been telling me of a new group of demi-gods, ones that have flown under the radar, so even the gods have trouble finding them.
“They call themselves the ‘Clusters’, and like a cluster of stars, they have been collecting new members and forming a group of demi-gods and demi-titans. Supposedly, they are out to control the gods of today, and become the new gods, ones that will treat their children, and the world, with respect,” Siwon explains, “According to them, the gods have been too dormant.”
Siwon looks up from his hands and opens his eyes, even if he wants to keep them closed in order to keep the picture of his mother in his head for a minute longer. Yunho coughs and stands up, his arms swinging back and forth. He turns to Eeteuk, Siwon’s leader, the one person besides Hankyung that Siwon has ever been able to trust completely, since Eeteuk was the one that found him when he was eight, and was willing to take care of the attractive son of Nike.
“These Clusters are the ones that stole JS, and we can only begin to imagine what kind of things they are planning to use with him. He could bring back haunting images, or even worse, wipe entire memories, and we are in no position to sit back and wait for the world to collapse. The fact that Nike has contacted her son means that the gods know that this is a threat and they need our help to get rid of it. We have to act, Eeteuk-hyung.”
Eeteuk lifted a hand, standing up and looking at Jinki, who had the same expression on as Yunho did. “I will contact my father. Until then, I want you all to train. We want everyone’s powers tip-top shape, in case there really is a war on our hands. Kangin-ah, Jaejoong-ah, and Key-ah, you will be in charge of training your groups. And Jinki-ah, Yunho-ah, you two are to calm down. Even if this is a threat, sent by the Clusters, we mustn’t be rational.”
Jinki sighs, and Siwon watches him-the Thalia son had always been pushing himself a little bit too much. Siwon scans the room-the twenty-four strays that somehow, they had arrived here, where, for the first time in their lives, accepted and allowed to grow up as they were. Somehow, they had grown friendships, hatreds (especially for Kibum, Hankyung and Donghae-his friends seemed useless when it came to being friends) and for some, love.
“I will be back in three days,” Eeteuk decided, nodding and patting Ryeowook’s shoulder, as if to tell him to make sure to keep them from blowing the place up. Ryeowook nodded; his eyes downcast as the heavy footsteps echoed throughout the mansion, before the soft click of the front door.
“He’s an idiot.” Siwon looks up to see Hankyung at the staircase, who looks back at him, one side of his lip turned upward. The son of Zeus looks away and scans the room, shrugging at everyone’s ‘what?’ expressions. “He knows that we are being targeted-already, one of our own has been killed. If it was me, I would divide Junior, and make two groups. One would go, one would stay back. And I will lead the group that will go.”
“You’re an idiot if you do that!” Donghae protested, standing up from his spot next to Sungmin. The exhausted son of Iris pulled at Donghae’s sleeve, but he pulled his hand away. “Eeteuk-hyung is the leader, and he’s the only one whose parents really talk to him, so we must follow his orders! Plus, this ‘JS’ guy doesn’t seem so important that we have to rush in right now!”
“Well, what are we supposed to do? Train? We have been training, some of us, for the past ten years of our lives! We have stayed in this house for years, waiting for something like this. We are demi-gods-our brothers and sisters killed beasts with their bare hands back then, we have this instinct that makes us want to fight, that makes us want to live! All of us know that we want to go somewhere, get somewhere, instead of staying here!” Hankyung panted.
“You’re such an idiot! You’re powered by your need to kill and be the leader-your ‘Zeus-ness’ gone to your head?” Donghae fought back, a sneer against his lips.
“Shut up!” Kibum screamed, splitting the ground between Hankyung and Donghae, his eyes filled with complete darkness as the son of Hades pushed the two brothers away from each other. “I hate both of you, but what I hate most of all is when both of you fight stupidly against each other. You idiots need to understand that fighting will get us nowhere!”
“He’s right,” Yunho agreed with a sigh. “We should all sleep on it. The huntresses should be here tomorrow-they were a little late today but Victoria has said that tomorrow, for certain, they’ll be here. Don’t make them have a bad visit.” The members groaned and mumbled-agreeing to Yunho’s words. “Yesung-hyung, Jonghyun-ah, do you think that you could fix that gap in the floor up by tomorrow?” Yesung nodded.
“If Bling Bling will help, of course,” Yesung joked. Jonghyun rolled his eyes, but nodded.
“Fine.”
Yunho smiled, “Now, let’s go to sleep. My dad needs to work.”

Jaejoong sighed, leaning back. Heechul, his older half-brother, raised an eyebrow, the Aphrodite boys having moved into the same room. Mainly because they would be able to find exactly what they would need to at the right time, and with their OCD (or well, Heechul’s OCD), the other demi-gods wouldn’t be ruining anything. “So, what do you think about this whole Clusters thing?”
“Eeteuk may be an idiot,” Jaejoong laughed at Heechul’s bluntness, “But he is the one that gathered us all here, together, so we might as well follow what he says. But come on, what kind of practicing does he think that us, Aphrodite kids, can do? We’ll seduce them to death?”
Jaejoong looks into Heechul’s eyes from his mirror and smirks, “You’ll have the ride of your life, tomorrow, then, it seems. Don’t skip out on practice.” He stood up, waving at his half-brother, before exiting the room, and walking down to an old friend’s room. He stops by the kitchen, the dishes stacked high with plates from tonight’s dinner, grabbing a glass from the dishwasher and entering his friend’s room, not bothering to ask if he can come in, and just sits down on the ground.
“Where’s Key?” Jaejoong asks, extending the glass out. Shindong rolls his eyes, and with a twirl of his hand, Jaejoong’s glass is filled with wine. Jaejoong smiles, sipping the wine slowly. “You picked the wrong wine for this kind of cup, Dionysos boy.” Shindong shrugs.
“Key is out with Minho-ah, but he’ll be back soon, and I doubt he wants to deal with you when he gets back here,” Shindong answers, playing with the Dionysos’s kid’s room’s leopard, the exact one Key had summoned here by accident during training, and everyone had decided to call ‘Dee-Dee’ for the time being. At first, Dee-Dee had liked to growl at Jaejoong every time he entered the room, but now the leopard seemed to have gotten used to it.
“No one can resist me,” Jaejoong said with a smirk, leaning in, his wine-tainted breath ghosting in front of Shindong’s face. The son of Dionysos raised an eyebrow. “Not even you, Shin Donghee.”
“Shindong-hyung,” Key called, opening the door, and literally ruining the moment. A weird sound emitted from the back of Jaejoong’s throat as he turned to acknowledge the presence of the son of Dionysos, half-wishing that he could train his ass off the next day. “And Jaejoong-sshi. You know, you aren’t supposed to be in this room.”
Jaejoong rolled his eyes and sighed, downing the rest of his drink and handing the empty cup to Key. “See you tomorrow, Key-ah.”

Jinki sighed, leaning against the balcony, watching the sun set behind the hill that Eeteuk walked up. The leader’s thoughts ran through the son of Thalia’s head, and whenever he shut his eyes, he could see Eeteuk’s stern face. His fists balled, biting down on his lip, as he tried to concentrate on what had to happen tomorrow. Key was tough, but Jinki would have to make sure that everyone from the five youngest were doing their best and not pushing themselves too hard. And he’d try to harness Minho and Jonghyun’s powers, certainly.
But how could he have been so stupid? He knew that Eeteuk’s word was the word, but each time that he thought about it, he knew that they had to act now. It couldn’t have been a trap set in place by the Clusters, could it? Of course not, the Clusters only knew of JS, Junho, Junsu and Sungmin. They didn’t know that there were twenty-three others. And where were they? Hiding.
“Hyung,” Taemin said, touching his brother’s shoulder, “You really shouldn’t be pushing yourself. You did well today. To be honest, I think you’re right.”
Jinki turned and smiled down at his brother, smiling at Taemin’s typical smiles and adorable cheeks. “Thanks, Taemin-ah.”
“Jinki-ah!” Junsu panted, the wings on his shoes flapping up and down as he floated in mid-air. “There’s someone at the door, and Yunho is with Micky right now, so I can’t interrupt… Will you go check?” Jinki nodded, and Taemin noticed how his face turned ice-cold again.
The trio ran down the stairs of the manor, stopping at the door, where a few sleepy-eyed demi-gods gathered, including Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, who were the closest to the door. Jinki scanned the crowd, before nodding, and opening the door, to reveal a chubby-cheeked young boy, who crumpled into the doorway.
“I’m Kim Minseok, son of Boreas-and we need help.”
