"Boku...Atashi...Ore" - 8th Fic, pt02.

Miyata woke up in his bed. He yawned and stretched for awhile before turning to his side.

Tama-chan…

Miyata saw a letter folded paper was placed right beside his pillow with Tamamori’s and his name on it. Miyata unfolded the letter and smiled.

Sou ka~ So he carried me back here huh. I didn’t know Tama-chan is that strong.

Got up from his bed, Miyata placed the letter on his table and his eyes caught the table calendar and at the circled date.

The occasion will be tomorrow ne. I’ve got to get the ring today. Hmm…what time is it now? I’ve a date to buy the ring.

Miyata reached for his watch and screamed.

YABAI! I’m super late!!!

Miyata took about 10 minutes to get ready and the next minute, he was dashing out of his house towards the bus stop. Luckily he didn’t miss the bus or he’ll definitely be late for the date.

Panting, Miyata threw his gaze out of the window and enjoyed the scenery. It had been awhile since he got a short break from his entertainment career. Sea. He had always loved sea. The clear blue sea water made him felt refreshed. The soft breeze from the sea swept his face gently soothing him. Miyata inhaled deeply.

By tomorrow, I’m going to be the happiest man in the world!

A cell phone rang a KAT-TUN’s song, One Drop again.

“Hai?”

“Doko?”

“Uchi.”

“Sou ka.”

“Hai.”

“Hayaku na.”

“Hai.”

“Nana-chan.”

“Un?”

“Aishiteruyo.”

“Wakatteru.”

“Sa~ matta na.”

“Hai.”

Sa~ It’s Mira-chan’s birthday ne~ Have to get going now or everything will be ruined!

Nana walked as fast as he could towards Mira’s house. And as she had expected, Mira had forgotten about her own birthday. Convincing the other to accompany her to go shopping, they both went to the shopping mall that they used to hang out when they we younger. They had fun for about two hours before Nana’s stomach started grumbling.

“Ne Mira-chan…lets go to the KTV upstairs. It’s been awhile since we last went for karaoke together. Besides, they have new menu for today’s lunch and I’m super hungry.” Nana looked at Mira innocently as she baited her eyelashes a bit, trying to look kawaii while showing the other the little leaflet she got at the mall entrance.

“Well…I don’t know…” Mira wasn’t in the mood of having that much fun. The image of her boyfriend, Miyata with the girl the other day was dancing in her mind, teasing her as it please.

“Mira-cha~~~n.” Nana started whining and gave a good tug on Mira’s dress.

“Onegai~ Or I won’t be happy for my entire life anymore.” Nana pouted a bit as she gave her super sad look to her best friend.

Looking at the other, Mira couldn’t help giggling.

“Hai, hai~ Can’t be helped ne?” Mira let out a very soft sigh, hoping that Nana couldn’t hear her as she didn’t want to hurt her best friend’s feeling.

“Yatta~~~!!!” Nana jumped slightly before throwing her arms around Mira-s neck and pecked the other’s cheek.

“Kyaaa!!! Stop it! Stop it! Echi!!!” Mira struggled to free herself from Nana. Nana knew it all along that her best friend didn’t really like to be hugged and kissed.

“Ooooh…impressive!” Nana licked her lips as she looked at the new menu.

“I’ll take the new Sashimi Tenpura set.” and handed back the menu to the cute waiter before turning her attention back to Mira.

“Ne Mira-chan…what would you like to have?”

“Hmmm…”

“Need help?”

“I guess.”

“Sa~ I suggest that you try my favourite, okonomiyaki.”

Mira looked up when she finally realized that that voice wasn’t Nana’s. She almost fainted when she saw Ritsu, her other childhood best friend was standing in front of her. Ritsu was now studying in America and they had not met each other for like 4 years already.

“Rit-chan! You are back! When?!” Mira was so happy that now the three of them were together again and sprang to her feet to hug the other.

Returning the hug with the sweetest smile, Ritsu looked over Mira’s shoulder and nodded towards Nana. They had been contacting each other for months now without Mira knowing it. Releasing Mira, Ritsu went to hug Nana too.

“Well…I came back yesterday. Gomen. I was too tired to give you a call, Mira-chan. I slept practically the whole day. And I didn’t know you’re back in Japan too.” Ritsu looked at Mira then Nana.

“Just for a few weeks. School holiday.” Nana replied simple.

Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a clearing throat sound coming from the waiter.

“Guess we should order first and continue catching up later ne.” Mira giggled and apologized to the waiter. Finished placing their order, they soon started talking again. Mira could feel that her day was getting better already.

Once they had finish having their lunch, the three girls decided to sing a few songs together. As they were about to sing their first song, there was a knock on their door. Looking at each other, Ritsu got up at last to open it.

“Tai-chan!” Ritsu almost screamed her heart out as she saw her boyfriend right outside their room. Wrapping her arms around Fujigaya’s neck, she gave her boyfriend a warm, deep, welcoming kiss.

“I’ve missed you so much Rit-chan.” Fujigaya said as their lips parted but still so closed that they brushed together while he spoke.

“Get a room will ya?! You guys are disgusting!” Nikaido grunted as he saw the little drama in front of him.

Kitayama who was standing right behind Nikaido wrapped his arms around Nikaido’s waist and rested his head on the other’s shoulder.

“Ma~ ma~ you don’t have to be so jealous with their relationship ne. Or do you want a kiss too? Let me give you one.” with one hand, Kitayama pushed Nikaido’s head so that the other was facing him and gave a chaste kiss on the younger one’s lips before running into the room, laughing.

“Yo!” Kitayama said to Mira and Nana who had been gaping at the sudden intrusion.

Mira had had her shock hearing Fujigaya’s voice and now Kitayama and Nikaido? As she was still in her shock mode, Yokoo, Senga, and Tamamori showed up. Her heart had almost stopped functioning as she saw the other, praying hard that Miyata wouldn’t come along.

But luck didn’t love her today. Her hearts blew and shattered into pieces as she saw Miyata entering the room and closed behind him was the girl he had been with the other day, holding a cage of beautiful Persian cat…as beautiful as she was. Eyes glistening, Mira stood up and tried to get through the many people suddenly cramping into their room towards the door.

“Mira-chan…” Miyata caught her wrist as she walked past the other.

Mira froze. Her breathing started to get heavier and heavier every second passed. Her eyes started to glisten. Mira quickly tugged her hand away from Miyata’s hold.

“Why are you here?” Mira greeted her teeth as she was fighting from her tears to fall down and her body started shaking.

“Well…I’m here because I have something that I need to tell you.” Miyata replied softly.

Realizing an awkward environment had suddenly appeared, Fujigaya who was still hugging Ritsu at the door way slowly stepped in and closed the door. Everybody fell silent, every pair of eyes fixed on the two.

“We have nothing to talk about.”

“Mira-chan…nande?”

“Nande?! Nande?! You asked me?! Ask yourself! While I trust you hundred percent with your busy life, and you are actually busy flirting with other girl?! Ask that question to yourself, Miyata Toshiya!!!” Mira couldn’t hold her tears anymore. She started sobbing and her body trembled. The whole room had suddenly turned into a black hole. No sound can be heard and no movements at all.

“A-ano~ D-Do you mean…me?” the girl who was standing near Miyata all this while broke the silence. Worry showed on her face clearly.

Mira turned her face sharply at the voice and gave a deathly glare to the uninvited one.

“Mira ne-chan, don’t you recognize me anymore?”

That voice, and that way of talking somehow ring a bell in Mira’s head, but she wasn’t sure. She definitely didn’t know or recognize the girl who was now standing right in front of her. Her face expression had softened a bit though.

“It’s me, Hikari. Miyata Hikari. Shi-chan’s little sister.” Hikari looked into Mira’s eyes deeply, trying to tell the other that she wasn’t lying.

“Hikari?”

Hikari was crying so hard. Her cat had just died 2 days ago. She couldn’t sleep at night nor that did she want to eat. The whole family was just so worried about the little girl. Mira sighed. She could still hear Miyata’s voice when her best friend called her just now. How could she help Hikari?

Nya~ Nya~

“Shiro-chan…nande? I’ve given you your few 10 minutes a go. What do you want now?” Mira lifted Shiro and held the kitty in her arms. Shiro loved it so much. She purred as Mira stroke her fur softly.

As Mira continue stroking, something came up to her mind.

“Ne Shiro-chan…would you do me a favor? It meant so much for me if you could.”

As if she could understand that Mira was talking to her, Shiro tilted her head up, looking at Mira’s face.

“I do love you so much, Shiro-chan. But there’s a little girl who really needs you now. I hope that you won’t hate me.”

Nya~

It seemed like Shiro was smiling at Mira before she snuggled closer to her owner and fell asleep, covered with the warmth of her owner’s body for the last time that night.

Mira could still remember how happy Hikari was when she handed the girl her most precious treasure to her.

“You are really…Hikari? Demo…” Mira was a bit confused now.

“Hai. Do you still remember that I went to stay with my aunty when she was sick since she doesn’t have any child to take care of her? Yeah, she’s good now and I’m moving in to my parent’s back again starting from tomorrow.” Hikari smiled warmly towards Mira.

Ah~ now I remember. Hikari went to stay with her aunt 3 weeks after I gave her Shiro. And Mitsuchi had never talked about Hikari ever since.

Mira bit his bottom lip as guilt building inside her. She had betrayed their relationship for not trusting Miyata, for forgetting things about Hikari, for embarrassing them in front of others.

Others? What are they doing here? This gathering isn’t a coincidence! Nana and Ritsu showing up suddenly isn’t a coincidence!

“Mitsuchi…GOMENASAI!” Mira bowed as deeply as she could in front of Miyata. She just couldn’t show how regret she was for everything has happen.

Miyata laughed and slowly pulled his girlfriend up and hugged the other.

“Daijobu yo…daijobu.” he whispered softly.

Suddenly the door to their room was knocked twice and interrupted the good mood. Sighing, Miyata let go of Mira and walked towards the door. While Miyata was at it, Mira looked at the whole bunch of people in front of her suspiciously.

“Mira-chan…happy birthday.” Mira turned around at the sound of her boyfriend’s voice and gasped as she saw Miyata was strolling a trolley with a big birthday cake on it. Stopping the trolley right in front of Mira, Miyata went behind his girlfriend and hugged the other.

“Sei~ no!”

And the whole room filled with the most lovely, sweet, harmony voice of Mira’s love ones singing a birthday song for her. Again, Mira could fight her tears from rolling down her cheeks. She had totally forgotten it was her birthday but none of her friends had.

At the end of the song, Mira blew up all of the candles and made her wish for herself and for everybody in the room. As she was about to cut the cake for the second slice, Miyata stopped her. Taking the only cut piece of cake with his hand, Miyata brought it up to Mira’s mouth.

“Douzo~” he smiled warmly.

Mira smiled back and gave a little bite on that piece.

“Oishii~” she said softly. Before she knew it, she was already in Miyata’s arms once again and was kissing the other deeply.

After awhile, their lips parted. Miyata looked deeply into Mira’s eyes.

“What I wanted to say was…happy birthday Mira-chan. You’ll be the only angel in my heart forever.” and planted a soft kiss onto the lovely lips again.

After awhile, their lips parted as Miyata felt someone’s hand was on his shoulder, patting him softly. He turned to face the owner and saw Hikari smiling at him sweetly.

“Don’t forget the present.” she wink and joint the others after handing Miyata the cage that she had brought along.

After saying his thanks to Hikari, Miyata looked at Mira and smiled warmly.

“Happy birthday. Douzo~” and handed the cage over to Mira.

Mira took the present happily as she knew it already there was a cat in that cage. Slowly she placed the cage down onto the table and opened it.

“Kawaii~ Arigatou Mitsuchi.” she hugged the Persian cat happily and stroke its fur. Later only Mira realized there was something shinning dangling on the cat’s neck. Looked at it carefully, she gasped.

“A ring? Another present?” Mira took off the ring and saw something engraved on it.

I Love You

-MiyaMira Forever-

Happy tears rolling down Mira’s eyes as she flung her arms around Miyata’s neck again.

“I love you so much Mitsuchi...I love you. Thank you for everything.”

“I love you too sweetie. Please take a very good care of that cat na. She’s Shiro’s.”

“Shiro’s? Honto?”

“Hai.”

“Mochiron desu!”

And their lips were locked together again for who knows how long since they tend to ignore of their surroundings.

Nikaido cut two pieces of the Mira’s birthday cake, put them on two different plates, and went to have a seat.

“Hi.”

“Nika!” Nana was surprised to see Nikaido sat beside her.

“Good job.” Nikaido winked.

“Well…you threaten me. Saying that we won’t even be friends if I failed.” there was sad in her voice.

“Joudan dayo~ Joudan dayo~” Nikaido chuckled and gave Nana one plate of the cake.

Without saying her thanks, Nana took the plate and started eating immediately. She was a bit furious realizing that Nikaido had got her big time.

“Na! Kimi wa 5-sai desu ka?” Nikaido’s voice stopped her from eating. Nana turned to face the other and frowned.

Me? 5-years-old? What the heck was that supposed to mean?!!!

Nikaido didn’t give Nana enough time to blurt out the words in her head as he quickly leaned in and licked the cake on Nana’s lips clean.

Nana stunned and heat started covering her face. She knew it by now how red her face was.

“Hmm…umai~” and Nikaido leaned in again for a proper kiss…deepening it a little when he felt Nana responded.

“N-Nika?” Nana looked confused once they’ve parted.

“I thought you said that you understand.” Nika said before he gave a chaste kiss on Nana’s lips again.

“Understand what?” Nana was still confused.

“Aishiteru yo~” Nikaido wrapped an arm around Nana’s waist and pulled the other into his arm before he kissed the other deeply, to prove his true feelings towards the girl.

Ah~ Sou ka~ I thought that you were just teasing me and being mean as always when you told me that you loved me in the phone the other day. I didn’t know that it was for real. Arigatou Nika-chan…iie, arigatou Taka-chan for accepting my feelings at last. I love you too.

And the party turned out alive more than they expected as they enjoy themselves the whole day.
