Really like this. It's got a nice wit about it, sweet but not too saccharine. It's a good AU ending, and i love the dynamic you create between them. I do think River's canon ending is spectacular, i had trouble with it at first, but have been coming round to it and i've been trying to make my peace with it. It is so sad, but that what lends their dynamic such power, y'know?

Love that line, and
She has a sudden urge to backhand him across a cheek, but it tapers off and she sighs instead. “You knew.”
That violence and darkness always creeping in her.

The ending i really want Moff to do is for when 11 does regenerate, somehow a form of his specifically 11 personality/consciousness is saved on the sonic and 12 then uploads it into the computer to be with River forever. Doesn't take away from her sacrifice, and gives them the ending that they really deserve.

You know, I was a bit iffy about this idea at first because I really can't imagine anyone but Alex being River (not counting Mels because she's kind of not River yet). But I always feel that way about whoever is the current Doctor too, and then the next one comes along and I tend to love him anyway.

You did that for me with River. I really like this. I like the way she has to assess and reevaluate herself and I still feel the chemistry with the Doctor. I really like the idea of the freedom the regeneration would give her, as well.

I'm compiling a list of Library fix-its at the moment and will link to this if you have no objections :)
