This is really intense. I love how, even knowing what we now know about River, there's so many untied threads about her and hundreds of ways she could go from the kidnapped baby to Dr. River Song, and this is one of my favorite River fics, by far. Especially loved the part where she gets him to tell her about the Time War and the repetition of Madame Kovarian's "not a devil, or a goblin, or a trickster" line.

So I returned to write the better review I promised in the earlier comment. But instead, I've reread it (still beyond BRILLIANT) and am now staring at the screen trying to piece together my head to write a proper reply. And I just can't. I'm sorry. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to read this story and not be left speechless at the end. I have added it to my memories and will no doubt continue to recommend it to others and reread it. Should a time ever come that I can write a proper review, I will definitely do so. Until then, I just wanted to say: Wow, HoneyNoir. Go you.
