Just gorgeous. Love this little ritual, they visit where their own gravestone will stand to remember who they lost. But not dwelling too long either, after all, kitties don't have opposable thumbs to use tin openers!

This was just amazing. Perfect characterization, beautiful writing, and so moving. I loved so much the part where you showed just how much their life had changed, and the end was so lovely, their sweet bickering, so Pond ;) I just loved it!

Thank you! I'm so glad the changes came through, and that they were Pond-like! :D

I really liked this--what a good balance of nostalgia and looking forward.

I'm so glad I managed to get a balance - I really don't want them to have to wait anymore... Thanks for reading! (And yay, your icon!)

A lot of people took issue with the "the Ponds are gone because of reasons" approach, but I liked the finality of it. It was clear they would never willingly be permanently separated from the Doctor (or vice versa), especially given Amy's point about being unable to settle and everything in "Power of Three." So the idea that the both could finally, finally, finally stop waiting for anyone (except for mini-Melody after she regenerates in 1969, according to my headcanon!) had a good feel of closure to it.

Yeah, completely agree. They were heading down the never willingly, won't end prettily route and they deserved closure. (I hoped Amy's afterword would let the Doctor have some, too - and now we've done The Snowmen, maybe he got it.)

And Melody-in-1969 is my headcanon, too!

ETA: ugh can't make words
