Somebody explain tumblr to me. Is it just people posting screencaps and stuff that other people have taken? What is it for?

Every time I happen to see something there, it's just...graphics and shit. Is that all it is?

Yup. Basically all interaction takes place in the form of fav and reblog (you can add a comment if you do the latter.) If you want to share pretty pictures and keep track of the ones you like it's useful, I guess.
