(OMG your icon. *steals*)

Woo! I'm so glad you enjoyed this--it was a blast to write, and the pic was impossible to resist, in its incredible awesomeness. I'm sure I'd seen it somewhere before and gone "ooooh" so it was only natural that when the opportunity came around to write something for it, I would be ALL OVER IT. Oh yeah.

I can totally see Dean and Abby getting Sam on the rack, since at this point I don't think Dean'd see anything particularly wrong with doing so. (And post-s6, after Sam got his memories of hell back, I can't help wondering about the interaction between him, who spent 100 years being horrifically tortured, and Dean, who spent 10 years torturing souls. I DEMAND FIC DAMMIT.)

Incidentally, and though I don't make a habit of pimping myself, a lot of the insanity that goes on here owes a lot to my earlier fic, Abroad. If you really enjoy torture, crack, gore, etc., then this fic is more of what you've already seen, only crazier. Less blood, more other disgusting bodily fluids ( ... )

HAHAHAHAHAH. Dark crack. It's a genre I didn't even know I loved until this week. It's been a good week for it, too, between this awesome, awesome thing and jaimeykay's story about Dean playing house with Alastair, Azazel, and Meg.

But I think yours is winning when it comes to the contest for first place in my heart. It's the tone. The tone wins FOREVER.

Ooh, I'm going to have to look up that jamiekay fic. That sounds like something I would enjoy. ;)

And yes, somehow when I set out to write torture-fic, it tends to take a sharp right into cracktown.

Yay for winning! Who doesn't love a cheerfully psycho!Dean? You just want to pinch his blood-soaked cheeks...and then run far, far away. ^__________________________^

Oodles of thanks!

You probably would. Let me see, I think I still have it open somewhere....yup. http://jaimeykay.livejournal.com/29979.html

You've got to love cheerful!psycho Dean if only because it's a non-woobie!Dean. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can love a good angsty Dean story, but sometimes....yeah.

Thanks muchly!

And yeah, I like woobie!Dean as much as the next gal, but sometimes I just want to see him kill something. SPN is still a horror series, right? If I want to watch Days of Our Lives, I'll...well, probably shoot myself in the face, actually, but you know what I mean.

I really enjoyed the fact that s6 had more of that sort of thing. I have hopes for s7 (guarded as they are). ;)

I grinned so hard writing this. His glee is totally infectious, isn't it? He's just so happy to be doing what he's good at! ;)

Thanks very much!

LOL- this is sooo disturbing! At first I was all "go, Dean!" because I thought he was conning her into letting him loose with a weapon. Then I thought sure, he's twisted enough not to care about the humans, but, yeah, hell rubs those corners off and the timing was wrong, so it was really just an evil plot to get a demon on the rack. But ...
throughout, the tone was perfect, pricelss, classic Dean in teaching mode, helping some poor clueless!chick out with his mad skilz
and I just had to lol- plus ca change, and all that-some things never change!
(Poor Sam)

Hah, yeah, I totally wrote it that way, so people would be like, "Aah, he's got a pl--no, Dean, what are you doing?! Bad Dean! Bad!" and etc. XD

Poor Sam indeed! He has no idea how much trouble he's actually in. Hohoho.

Glad it made you laugh! I feel good knowing I can write about horrible torture and still make it funny...to a select group, anyway. ;) Thanks so much!

So, as this started out, I was seeing the universal trickster tale where the hero, through a series of dares, bargains, boasts, or what-have-you, convinces the villain to release him from capture and ultimately lay himself at his mercy -- whereupon the hero zooms away in a cloud of dust yelling "neener-neener-neener."

But in this version, the hero is absolutely sincere.

Sooo much awesome. And horrible. Horribly awesome.

It's torturiffic!

You're the second person to comment on the whole 'A-hah, Dean's gonna trick her and then get away' part, which is awesome 'cuz I totally wrote it that way. But Dean really just wants to help. He's just a nice guy, y'know?

:D I'm so glad you liked this. Thank you!

I just gotta remark:

"His legs are still bleeding and they itch."

Your detail is uncanny.

Nothing quite like dry, flaky blood (and open wounds!) to make a person itchy. Gah.

I don't think he's going to be able to save the pants, actually.
