Fortunately, no! But I was experimenting with sleeping on the floor, which I've done for years and never had a problem with. This time was not to be, however.
It was more of a problem for the centipede than for me, tbh. I was mildly inconvenienced. The centipede gave his/her life.
That happens to me sometimes, too! Not the centipede bit, mind you--those just populate our Tupperwares--but I suspect it has something to do with achieving a perfect REM cycle in those 3-4 hours, or something, 'cause I totally know what you mean. I ain't gonna knock it, because huzzah! XP
Maybe it's just today? Because the same thing happened to me. The sun came up at just the right angle to shine a stabbingly bright beam of light right into my eyes despite the blinds being closed (it came in at an angle). Just at sunrise. Grrr. But I haven't felt awful like I normally do when running on little sleep.

It's nice to get up early--frankly I prefer it. But sometimes it's just really hard to manage it.
