I'm lucky; I had a friend that did nothing BUT do that, but 1.) we ain't in contact anymore (it may have been her becoming a zealous born-again *shivers*) and 2.) I switched e-mails, conveniently forgetting her, lol. Awful? Maybe, but I dun care.

That sounds like an interesting show! My mom watches it, I think; it's the one with the quick-witted chick, right?

In talking about JFK, Jack Ruby, Lee Harvey Oswald, and Batman with my younger brother, we once confused him into saying Bruce Wayne shot JFK. I think that fits nicely into The Onion's theory. *nods*

People where I used to work would forward emails around the office all the time. I *always* looked them up on Snopes, and 99 times out of 100 it was BS. I would email back to everyone telling them it was not true and asking them to look at Snopes before they email that crap around. But no, it was more fun to believe the lies, I guess.

Not to mention, forwarding emails like that was against company policy, but that never stopped them.
