After going over the many dynamics of the whole Casey-Joey possibility with Liz in many amusing fashions, me and my husband had a nice conversation over it.

In summary (not totally direct quotes, but you'll get the gist):

Maybe it takes a little Casey/Joey for Casey to realize that it's Zeke, or nothing. Or Joey says... "what er you doing... I'm not your one true love. You're causing an imbalance in the casey/zeke universe. Get yourself some super powers, and make your way back to Zeke. Now." LOL.

Course, I hope Casey and Zeke get back together, eventually. and casey puts on his invisibility cloak and races back to Herrington. I'm along for the ride, whatever direction you take them. :)

Well, if Casey doesn't do something, and soon, this is what could happen:

Casey and Joey get married. Zeke crashes the wedding, carrying off the "bride".

OMG, why is my brain coming up with these ideas today, LOL! It's like it's full of plot bunnies, or something.

WRITE IT! It don't gotta be Joey, just have Zeke reject him in high school, then catch wind of his wedding in Boston four years later (legal!) and he tears off to get what's his (even though he was a total knob rejecting him in the first place!)...

But will he get there in time to yell, "I OBJECT!"...?

That's what love is, right? Letting someone go, if you have to. Zeke told himself this every day for the last three years, Because if he didn't believe this; if he didn't make himself see the necessity of it, then it was back to the dark days when offing himself seemed like the only answer

That was amazing, Casey! So beautifully written! I felt so sad for Zeke at first, resigning himself to the end of his relationship with Casey and the end of his life, but then at the end he finds hope of a new future with Casey. So sweet!
