Will someone out there request a happy/fun/sweet drabble/ficlet... thing? grape, I'd do your request (been working on it bit by bit these past coupla days ;)), but it's saaad, and I want happy.

I so know I'm spamming you guys, but I wanna do something fun.

Fluffy in any form would be lish right now. Will make some sweet marshmallow-hobbit fluff!

"Oh... they're crunchy!"

"Thas' not the half o' it, Mr. Frodo-- watch!"

Frodo looked with wide, curious eyes into the bowl Sam put on the table. After putting the mysterious food into it, Sam picked up the bottle of milk nearby. "Ye ready?"

"Yes!" Frodo said with a chuckle. Sam nodded and smiled; he started pouring a small trickle into the bowl. At first, Frodo didn't know what was so remarkable... until... "Is it... making that strange noise?"

"Aye, it is!" Sam said. "Put yer ear down and listen!!"

Frodo did so, pushing his curls from the rim to keep them dry. He had to giggle; the light popping, crackling and fizzing sounds were so delightful. "I have never... heard food sound quite like this," he remarked softly, still trying to listen.

"I made a big bag o' it fer ye; I knew ye'd want some," Sam told him, getting to his satchel ( ... )

LOL! So *that's* how Rice Crispies came to be. Really adorable, love it.

Hahahaha! I saw your poor, misshapen comment a bit ago, and saw that it weren't there no more when I went to look, lol! It's okay. I got my formatting skillz from the back of a cereal box.

For a mo' there, I was sure Frodo would turn down Rice Crispies and come up with Rice Snappies or Rice Crunchies or something. ;)
