but the gayest thing of all is grad school. actually, i remember feeling that grad school was sucking laughter out of my life. (and laughter comes from the same vein as creativity, mayhaps?) some aspects of academia are so humorless (often an offshoot of being so esoteric-- the comedy is clever but not funny) that i started not liking certain turns my life was taking. basically, i didn't like how pretentious i was feeling, despite also feeling horribly underqualified for grad school. i also think grad school turned me into that heartless creature you seem to think i am now (the civilly disobedient yellow ribbon terrorist and celebrity punker). but it helps get good jobs, or so i hear.

anyway, i'll totally go check out your "very very cool looking bars" which i'm sure is fag shorthand for "gay as fuck bars."
